Wikis

Oops, just realized that I forgot the blog on this one. I edited the entry for "Judith Sargent Murray," a early American feminist writer (some believe her to be the very first American feminist writer). I was working on a research paper on her, so I added some relevant info

TSLP

So, I've finally finished! I enjoyed the TSLP. I've learned about several internet resources that I will probably use in the future.

YouTube

OK, this one gave me a bit of trouble, simply because I didn't know enough about video file formats. It would be nice if the webcam program provided a more direct way to save files (perhaps there is a way and I just overlooked it).

Rollyo

Rollyo is pretty nifty and easy to use. I like how it allows specialized searches, so you don't have to wade through all the crap brought up by google searches.

del.icio.us

Very easy to use, especially with the Firefox extensions. I might use this to keep up with research I do for papers, it is easier than my normal method of going into gmail and emailing myself the URL every time I find a useful webpage. Of course, it's only easier if I'm on a computer with the extensions installed (I wonder if it will let you install the extensions to more than one computer per account?)

Bloglines

Subscribing to the blogs was no problem (I did that last week) but it took me forever to figure out how to share the blog feed and get the url. I finally figured out that you had to set up a blog in order to get a username for the feed's url. I don't know why in the world Bloglines doesn't have you create a username when you sign up for the feed.

Overall, it's a neat site. But, I use my personalized Google page to keep up with my news feeds. Bloglines is convenient, though, in that you see the entire blog entry. On Google you have to click the heading and go to the actual website to read the entire blog. So, I'll probably use Bloglines a bit in addition to my google page.
